Franke's Green Approach

For decades Franke has been implementing practices that demonstrate their commitment to stewardship of our environment and our natural resources. Year after year Franke looks for ways to “Avoid, Reduce and Recycle” in its corporate and manufacturing processes. They ensure all resources are treated respectfully, and used productively to the natural end of their life cycle.

Some of the green practices Franke has put into effect include:

• Introduced practices into their manufacturing facilities that reduced consumption of fresh water, oil and gas, and electricity
• Reduced use of harmful chemicals, solvents and detergents in the manufacturing processes, in some cases by as much as 80%
• Recycles waste water in production facilities, recovering waste water and using it in welding machines
• Achieved ISO 14001 certification in 2004, meeting international standards of pollution reduction and environmental protection
• Committed to regional manufacturing whenever possible
• Ship and package in bulk to reduce number of shipping containers, and thus their carbon footprint
